Nicole North, President and Founder of Whiteboard Learning

Nicole NorthPresident & Founder

Nicole North is the President and Founder of Whiteboard Learning. For over a decade she has designed and led leadership transformation programs for enterprise organizations — financial services, public sector, global retail, and higher education.

Her work sits at the intersection of organizational psychology, behavioural design, and the practical mechanics of how leaders actually talk to each other under pressure. She is hired not to deliver content but to architect the conversation systems that hold transformation in place after the consultants leave.

Nicole holds an MBA and over a decade of applied work in adult learning and behavioural change. Her client roster spans Equifax, Magna, IMAX, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, the University of Toronto, the City of Toronto, Toronto Hydro, and provincial ministries including Treasury Board Secretariat — alongside dozens of mid-market organizations navigating transformation. Nicole currently serves as Facilitator, Volunteer Centre Operations, Communications & Engagement for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, through Humber Polytechnic.

The shift behind the work

Nicole started her career as a process improvement consultant. The longer she worked with organizations, the clearer one pattern became: the strategy was usually right. The frameworks were usually right. What broke was the conversations.

Leaders avoided the feedback that would have corrected the strategy. They postponed the conflict that would have unstuck the project. They sidestepped the truth-telling that would have made the change possible. The cost of the avoided conversation always exceeded the cost of having it.

That observation became the foundation of Whiteboard Learning — and the reason every engagement begins with a behavioural audit of the conversations the organization is not having.

Approach to enterprise work

Nicole personally leads every enterprise engagement at the design and senior-cohort delivery level. She works alongside a hand-picked team of associates — instructional designers, behavioural coaches, and professional actors — and partners with clients' internal L&D and HR leadership rather than around them.

Engagements typically run 12–24 months. Nicole does not take work she does not believe will produce measurable behaviour change.
